An epic, story-driven arcade-adventure across the Solar System, Mars Defender provides a retro-styled overhead 3D view, in the style of classic Asteroids games. It features beautifully modelled planets, moons, asteroids, space stations and spaceships.

Developer's Game Description

The game was originally going to have full 3D flight, but we realised that it was much better for gameplay to have restricted 2D movement while retaining 3D graphics. It works really nicely and gives the classic Asteroids gameplay with modern-looking graphics.

Work has started on a multiplayer (LAN/Internet) version.
